I believe stable, affordable housing is the key to so many social issues, from education and healthcare to unemployment and hunger. As an architect, I believe that we need to raise the standards of living – both in where we live and how we live. I believe that good design can change lives, communities, and our world, and it all starts with decent, affordable homes where people can thrive.

So this summer, I’m taking on a cross-country challenge with Bike & Build, to raise funds and awareness for affordable housing. Our team will stop in hundreds of communities from coast to coast, to meet with local residents, educate about housing issues, and build affordable homes with local housing groups.

Since its founding in 2002, Bike & Build has engaged over 3,000 riders, donated more than $5.8 million in grants, and contributed over 200,000 volunteer hours. By partnering with us, you can make a difference for our hardworking neighbors across the United States who are burdened by rising rents and housing costs. Along the way, I’ll be sending digital postcards to let our supporters know where we are and what we’ve been up to – so donate, subscribe, and ride along with me from coast to coast!
